Papierfabrik Louisenthal manufactures banknote and security paper. A subsidiary of the Giesecke & Devrient Group, Papierfabrik Louisenthal is supplier of banknote paper to the Deutsche Bundesbank. With regard to the euro currency Louisenthal has been entrusted with the production of euro paper for the requirements of several other European central banks. Louisenthal also supplies banknote and security paper to central bank printing works and security printers in more than 100 countries all over the world.

Plant Engineering Louisenthal has also gained an international reputation for engineering and building ready-to-run paper mills and component installations.
Louisenthal has two production sites in Germany. One is at Louisenthal near Lake Tegernsee in Bavaria, the other at Koenigstein near Dresden in Saxony.
