Louisenthal's banknote paper is made of cotton and is the product of Louisenthal's own manufacturing process, which is subject to the strictest security at every stage. Banknote and security paper from Louisenthal can be combined with advanced security technologies - from classic three-dimensional watermarks to optically variable devices, and from security threads to StrongLife, a special banknote paper with encreased edge protection.

Conventional methods are incapable of producing quality banknote and security papers, so Louisenthal has resolved to conduct its own R&D into key production processes and to engineer the findings into the company's own production plant as well as into many other engineering projects worldwide.
