Solid basic training in technology and high technology

Make a career of the joy of modern technology

Preparing printing plates for printing, producing proofs, and preparing releases, checking the consistency of ink… As a media technologist in print processing there is a lot to do since media technologist in print processing in the field of intaglio are in demand – they produce single and multicolor printed materials on gravure printing presses.

After you have prepared all the materials that are needed for printing, e.g. inks and foils, you set the gravure printing presses, fill the corresponding ink containers or supply the ink via pump systems, and adjust the ink feed. Then you make the proofs and create color scales to align the inks and tones with the corresponding templates as well as make corrections as required. During the printing process, the printers monitor all machine functions and in some circumstances control machine settings to ensure consistent quality. Plus they clean and maintain the machines and their additional aggregates after printing is finished.
